【法斯賓達回顧影展】參展作品介紹：《一年十三個月亮In a Year with 13 Moons (In einem Jahr mit 13 Monden)》

在法斯賓達所有作品中，《一年十三個月亮》可說是最富個人傳奇色彩的一部，不僅是因為本片的拍攝，出自於法斯賓達為了紀念已分手愛人的自殺，片中對於性別、變性、身份的多重辯證，以及對身體的自卑與自虐、對性慾的耽溺與索求、對愛情的渴望與殘酷，也都反覆呼應了他自己聲名狼藉的複雜生命，八卦之外，有著更多耐人尋味的思索。
故事從法蘭克福市的清晨開始，也為主人翁艾維拉最後的生命揭開序幕。曾擁有男性身軀的她，現在是個名叫艾維拉的女子，但身體的改變並不能保證幸福的未來，同居男友的離棄、前妻的拒絕、舊情人的冷漠背叛，不管是男是女、是他或她，似乎都無法獲得任何希望，於是他/她轉身，擁抱溫暖的死亡。
《一年十三個月亮》以極為冷冽寫實的影像，仔細鋪排艾維拉的生活細節，從早到晚、從城市的這頭、到屋室的那端，他的絕望像是被排拒在世界之外的漂浮孤島，永遠孑然。法斯賓達在片中營造了強大的現實與孤獨感，彷彿用一把電影的手術刀，冷靜地劃開了劇中人與法斯賓達自己的心，殘酷銳利地切割屠宰著世人所謂的愛情理想，片中一幕屠宰場的場景，艾維拉在冰冷空曠的流理台之中幽怨地自白，平行對映著屠夫切剖肉塊，鮮血淋漓的究竟是肉塊，還是盲目追求愛情的人們？
值得一提的是，2001年法國導演佛杭蘇瓦歐容（Francois Ozon）向法斯賓達致敬的《乾柴烈火》，內容雖是根據法斯賓達寫於1972年的劇本「佩特拉的苦淚」拍攝而成，但片中對於性別認同與愛情真諦的思索，均是參考《一年十三個月亮》的延伸與詮釋。
Every seventh year is one of the moon. In such years people suffer increasingly from emotional ups and downs and depression. Moon years such as 1978 are years that have 13 new moons. This inevitably leads to personal catastrophes. Frankfurt 1978. In an attempt to escape from her own past, Elvira Weishaupt (Volker Spengler) looks for refuge within a circle of people familiar to her. When she only encounters derision and rejection she is left with only one option …IN EINEM JAHR MIT 13 MONDEN is nevertheless a personal lament rather than an analytical film. The city of Frankfurt appears as an almost apocalyptic urban hellhouse dominated by skyscrapers, pubs and amusement arcades. Elvira’s search for human contact is not doomed to failure because people are potentially evil, but because they themselves are too sick to help. Fassbinder left Frankfurt after producing this film and moved to Berlin.
