Best Documentary
Once Upon a Hill
The directors care about the issues of children’s reading and development, with a creative narration, a mixed form, and a kind and soft heart. Combining the hand paintings by children, the film tells harrowing stories about drug abuse problems, grandparenting, and work-related injuries. However, the format gives the stories a sense of childish happiness and hope. It’s a precious documentary narrated by children.

Just let your mind travel with the little dinosaur!
This film is outstanding for its well designed picture and sound. There is nothing too much, nor too little. It reminds us how strong pictures could be. If you have great picture, let it speak itself, instead of adding narrative explanation on it!Through this film, you would experience the feeling of being driven into a corner as the story goes by. But at the same time, you will be reminded how strong you could be going through those hard days of adolescence.
Thank you, and congratulations for the great work!

He and his family are caught between the violent guerilla fighters and government forces. The finely crafted story dramatically unfolds, told through the child’s eyes.
